Philip was a mariner and travelled the world and at one time was given an island to rule over in the Sulu Sea. He was offered the daughter of the King for his wife but Philip was already married and so left the islands while he still had a head on his shoulders. Philip and Margaret had several children, including Sarah born in 1856 in Hulme, Lancs.
